Il metodo di lavorazione dei vigneti da noi utilizzato è rigorosamente tradizionale, frutto di esperienza professionalità e flessibilità, ogni annata è una storia diversa, e noi dobbiamo cogliere e valorizzare questo con tutta la nostra forza.

STORIA

La nostra azienda agricola nasce nei primi dell’800, prende il nome da un attrezzo utilizzato per lavorare le botti in Legno da qui prende il nome di Ghiomo, la cantina si trova a Guarene, tra Langa e Roero a 2 km da Alba patria del vino mondiale e del tartufo bianco recentemente riconosciuta patrimonio dell’Unesco.

OBIETTIVO

L’obiettivo è produrre grandi vini, diversi tutti gli anni, che esprimano con forza il carattere della nostra terra, siano ambasciatori di questa straordinaria terra. Vorremmo poter trasmettere a tutte le persone che amano i vini l’orgoglio e l’emozione che proviamo nel produrlo.

TERROIR

I nostri vigneti sono molto simili per caratteristiche ed altitudine a La Morra cuore del Barolo, infatti i terreni sono ricchi di marne grigie, argilla e un po’ di sabbia, questo fa sì che i vini esprimano grande struttura e carattere, per scelta coltiviamo solo vitigni autoctoni quali Nebbiolo, Barbera e Arneis.

JUST SAYING PRODUCER IS NOT ENOUGH

We passed down for generations, the passion for this great and difficult task, founded on honesty and respect for nature, we do not like to be defined biodynamic, organic or conventional, but only peasants. As such we live for the welfare of our country and of the products of our farming.

The method of processing of the vineyards we use is strictly traditional, the result of experience, professionalism and flexibility, every year is a different story, and we have to appreciate and enhance this with all our might.

STORY

Our farm was established in the early nineteenth century and takes its name from a tool used to machine the wood barrels. From here is called Ghiomo. The winery is located in Guarene, between Langa and Roero 2 km from Alba, home of World wine and white truffle, recently recognized by Unesco. Since 1999, I have decided to produce a different wine, focusing on quality and identity.

TARGET

The goal is to produce great wines, different every year, expressing strongly the character of our land. We want them to be ambassadors of this extraordinary country. We would like to convey to all the people who love the wines the pride and excitement that we experience in producing it.

TERROIR

Our vineyards are very similar in characteristics and altitude to those of La Morra, in the heart of Barolo. In fact, the soils are rich in gray marl, clay and a little sand, leading to wines that express great texture and character. Our personal choice is to cultivate only native vines such as Nebbiolo, Barbera and Arneis.
